It’s all the rage in Hollywood these days. Coming up with new movies from old blockbuster hits. We had the return of Bruce Willis in Diehard last year. Of course this weekend Harrison Ford is back as Indy in a new installment of Indiana Jones. How about a new Dirty Harry flick? Could one of those be in the making as well? Probably not.
While promoting his new movie Changeling at the Cannes Film Festival in France, Clint Eastwood was asked if the rumors about another Dirty Harry were true. His response — quote — “I have no intention. There are certain things you have to be realistic about. Dirty Harry would not be on the police department at my age. So, we’ll move on from that.”
No more Dirty Harry. But you have to admit, it would have been fun to see Eastwood saying “Make my day,” while at the same time asking his partner to help him hold up his gun.
