Slim Pickins’ On The Big Screen Again!
Another Friday has arrived and for movie goers
that means a new crop of flicks hitting the big screen.
If you’re hoping for lots to choose from, you will not find it this weekend. As we enter April, all we can hope for is a fast month to get us to May. After all, May is considered the official kick-off for the summer movie season.
In the meantime, this weekend we have two new movies hitting the silver screen. One is the fourth movie in the Fast & Furious franchise. While the second is a Rated R flick called Adventureland. But the big push is Vin Diesel’s re-appearance in Fast & Furious which opens on 3,462 screens.
Opening This Weekend
Fast & Furious – Rated PG-13 on 3,462 screens
The fourth in the series sees the return of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster who all starred in the 2001 original. Diesel and Walker’s characters are former rivals who reluctantly work together to bring down a drug dealer. Of course they also drive cars really, really fast.
Adventureland – Rated R on 1,862 screens
A college grad in 1987 is forced to cancel his summer plans to travel throughout Europe and instead work at an amusement park. It’s not a great job, at least until he starts to pal around with a female co-worker. Jesse Eisenberg, Twilight actress Kristen Stewart and Ryan Reynolds star.
