New In Theaters!
What will happen on the big screen this week as far as the top ten box office results go when Monday arrives. It’s really hard to tell! But, one thing is for sure, even though there are a total of five new movies opening this weekend, the pickin’s are rather slim. While Inglourious Basterds with Brad Pitt is getting a lot of commercial time, will it have enough umph to push Peter Jackson’s District 9 out of the number one spot?
Before I get to the list of new movies opening this weekend I want to push one movie that opened last week, but didn’t do very well in the box office. It came in at 11 for it’s debut weekend, but seriously, it deserves better. For some reason Bandslam which opened last weekend, did not have a big pull for box office dollars. I’m not sure why, but I will say it is worth seeing – especially if you have high school teens in your household.
Bandslam is a family-friendly movie!
