More Wacko Jacko News
When this story first broke – Michael Jackson Dies – I said it would be a story that would just keep on giving.
True to Hollywood craziness, the Michael Jackson story continues. Is he buried? Is he still in holding somewhere? No one really knows. Earlier this week his death was also ruled a homicide! While there’s much more information to come out yet, I wonder if the Doctor is being held as a scape goat all in an effort to clean up Jackson’s image. The bottom line is he was a person who abused his body with numerous surgery procedures. They ended up leaving him in much pain. Was the Doctor reckless in prescribing meds? Or was he merely caving into the cries and begging of a very confused individual?
That’s for a court to decide now.
In this posting I have a couple other pieces of news to pass along concerning Michael Jackson…
- Jackson In Wax
- Jackson Movie Opens On October 30
Jackson In Wax To Be Unvieled In Hollywood
Tomorrow, August 27, 2009, just two days before waht would have been Michael Jackson’s 51st birthday, a wax figure of Jackson will be unveiled at Madam Tussauds Hollywood. The wax likeness, which cost an estimated $300,000 to create, features the same wardrobe and styling Michael Jackson planned to wear for his London comeback concerts. To top it all off, 250 fans will have an opportunity to get their pictures taken with the statue after it’s unveiling.
Big Screen Debut On Tough Opening Date
Sony Pictures plans to release a movie featuring behind the scenes and rehearsal footage on one of the hardest dates of the year for a box office debut. The movie This Is It featuring preparation footage for the London concert series will hit the big screen on October 30th.
Sony paid $60 million to concert producer AEG and the singer’s estate for rights to turn the footage into a movie. Of course even though it’s the hardest day of the year to open a new movie, Sony also has plans to tie the opening into Michael Jackson’s Halloween-oriented album and video Thriller.
Will the plan work? Only time will tell.
Sony also announced some scenes in the movie, which were shot for use in concert, will be in digital 3D.
