Meryl Streep Surprised At Staying Power
Meryl Streep says she’s amazed at her staying power in Hollywood. But, she’s even more surprised at her staying power when it comes to romantic comedies.
Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, the 60 year old Streep says it’s “incredible” that she’s playing the romantic lead in movies despite her age. She jokes that “Bette Davis is probably rolling over in her grave.” She goes on to say “I’ve been given great, weird, interesting parts well past my ‘Sell by’ date.”
Her latest romantic comedy is scheduled for release
on Christmas Day.
The movie It’s Complicated features Meryl Streep’s character caught in a love triangle with Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin.
