Sly Still Has What It Takes

Like I Predicted – The Other Guys Fall From Grace

While it still held in the Top 5 of the Weekend Box Office, like I predicted, the forgettable Will Ferrell’s latest movie The Other Guys had no chance of holding onto the #1 box office spot for two weeks in a row. It dropped to #1 while the two new movies for the weekend grabbed the #1 and 2 spots. I must admit however I’m surprised at the order of the top 2! I figured Julia Roberts would grab the #1 spot easily over the new action flick from the old guys in The Expendables. But apparently the old guys were just too much for Julia.

Meanwhile, Toy Story 3 made $2.2 million over the weekend. That’s enough to put its U.S. earnings at the $400 million mark. As a result, Disney also announced that the latest Pixar flick has now become the highest-grossing animated film of all time at the global box office earning more than $920 million over all.
