112311: Thanksgiving Movie Openings

A Jump Start On New Movies

It’s Thanksgiving Weekend and that means it’s time for Hollywood to get a jump on the movie market by opening movies mid-week instead of the usual Friday openings. There are three new movies hitting the big screen for this long weekend run. Two look amazing and one – well – time will tell. The Muppets return to the big screen for a feature length movie while another animated Christmas movie entitled Arthur Christmas hits the big screen too. The third movie offering this weekend is another family comedy but it’s opening in a limited release.

It will be interesting to see if the two wide release family movies this weekend can bump off the blood-sucking vampire that grabbed headlines last weekend.

Arthur Christmas – PG on 3,376 screens
